Everyone has played with a claw machine at some point, but very few people can say that they’ve actually been inside one! Earlier this month, 2 year-old Ezra Ingersoll was able to crawl inside a claw machine and was trapped inside.

Kelsey Ingersoll, the boy’s mother, said that Ezra was playing with his siblings and friends in the game room at Rotolo’s Pizzeria in Fairhope, Alabama when she briefly lost sight of him.

“I had been checking on the kids every couple of minutes to make sure they were still playing nicely and all of a sudden, my daughter ran over to me and said Ezra was in the machine,” Kelsey said. “It literally took him seconds!”

Kelsey was horrified to find that nobody at the pizzeria had the key to the machine, so police and firefighters were promptly called.

“Just in case anyone is wondering what was happening.. tonight….. all the police and fire department… it was my kid,” Kelsey posted on Facebook afterwards. “He is out and ok now but freaked his momma out!!!”

Firefighters were able to quickly get Ezra out of the machine, and he was even allowed to keep a toy from the machine afterwards. This is definitely a story that Ezra and his family will be telling for many years to come!

Video footage of Ezra inside the machine has quickly gone viral, with social media users everywhere getting a big kick out of it. It never ceases to amaze us the trouble that small children can get into!
