Dancing is known for being one of the most captivating art forms in the world. Now, a 75 year-old video has resurfaced that many are calling the best dance routine of all time.

The video below was once called by legendary dancer Fred Astaire “the greatest dancing he had ever seen on film.” The video features a performance by the Nicholas Brothers, Fayard (1914–2006) and Harold (1921–2000), who performed the routine to the Cab Calloway song, “Jumpin’ Jive.” Making the routine even more impressive is the fact that it was completely unrehearsed and was captured on the very first take!

The Nicholas Brothers performed the routine for the 1943 musical film Stormy Weather, and they could not have done a better job with it. Social media users today love the video just as much as it was loved way back in the day when the Nicholas Brothers performed it.

“I wish they had these performances today,” one social media user commented, with another adding, “Boy those dancers! such precision and stamina! its like they’re tied to strings and flying around!”

“It’s like Ballroom meets Parkour in exactly how you would imagine it to look like. I love this!” a third user wrote.

They really don’t make dances like this before! These dancers’ moves are so infectious that it will almost make you want to get up and dance yourself. After watching the performance for yourself, we’re sure that you’ll think that Astaire was right when he said that this routine was the greatest ever.
