Back in 2017, 11-year-old Angelica Hale lost out to Darci Lynne Farmer in season 12 of the hit reality television show “America’s Got Talent.” Now 12 years-old, Angelica is back and better than ever as she is appearing on “America’s Got Talent: The Champions!”

Though she did not win her original season, Angelica has been performing all over the country over the past year. Her experience showed when she took the stage on “AGT: The Champions” this week, and it paid off for her in a big way!

On her first season, Angelica performed Kelly Clarkson’s “Stronger” and immediately became one of the only original AGT contestants to receive a Golden Buzzer, which sent her directly to the finals! Each judge can only use the Golden Buzzer once per season, but guest judge Chris Hardwick was so touched by her performance that he did not hesitate to use it. He even went so far as to call Angelica “The Chosen One!”

Despite her young age, Angelica has already been through a lot in life. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, she was only 4 when she had to have a life-saving kidney transplant, which was donated by her mother.

When it came time for Angelica to appear on “AGT: The Champions,” she decided to perform Rachel Platten’s “Fight Song” in an attempt to send a message to everyone that she was in it to win it this time.

“I wanted to send a message, telling [judges and fans] this is my fight song and I can put up a fight! I’m going to fight for my place on Champions,” Angelica explained. “I was competing against some of the most amazing talents so I knew I had to step it up. I had to step up my game so the song I chose had a lot to do with me and my past.”

Her plan definitely worked, before after she sang, judge Howie Mendel hit the Golden Buzzer for her. This made Angelica the only contestant in history to get a Golden Buzzer twice!

Now that she’s in the finals, Angelica will be competing against the best of the best, including the legendary Susan Boyle. As you’ll see in the video below, however, Angelica is definitely up to the challenge!
