Losing a parent is one of the most difficult things that a person can go through in life. As long as our parents are alive, we always feel like there’s someone around who has our back no matter what, which is why losing them can leave us feeling incredibly alone.

Denise Underhill is a Florida resident who grew up in the small town of Tamworth in Staffordshire, England. Though she moved far away from there, she never forgot the old house on Chaytor Road that she grew up in.

Denise was left devastated when her beloved mother recently passed away. Feeling nostalgic, Denise pulled up Google Earth, and she was left stunned by what she saw.

“I got the BIGGEST surprise EVER! I just couldn’t believe it. At the foot of the driveway was my mother,” Denise recounted on social media. “She was watering the garden, just as she always did. I was absolutely astounded – it made my day.”

The photo had been taken when Denise’s mother was still alive, and it had not been updated since her death.

“You never know what photos are being taken but they really do last a lifetime … I think someone wanted me to see this,” Denise said.

This was an incredibly pleasant surprise for Denise, as she still misses her mother dearly. It’s so heartwarming that she was able to see her mother again one more time when she pulled up a photo of her home on Google Earth!
