Fans were devastated two months ago when Beth Chapman was told that her throat cancer had returned. Fans immediately started praying for the wife of Dog The Bounty Hunter, aka Duane Chapman, after it was revealed that doctors had told Beth that her cancer had spread and was “incurable.”

Now, an update about Beth’s health has finally come in, as her family has just revealed that she has begun chemotherapy treatments. So far, the Chapman family says that the treatments are going well!

“Beth started chemo for throat cancer last month. The treatments are in L.A. They are going well, but they certainly take their toll on her,” the family’s attorney Andrew R. Brettler said on Tuesday. “The Chapmans have a lot on their plate right now. They just started filming for the new WGN show while Beth’s been going through treatment. Hasn’t been easy but they are keeping a great outlook and Beth is one of the strongest women I know.”

Beth, 51, was first diagnosed with throat cancer in 2017, but she was able to beat the cancer by the end of that year. Sadly, Beth learned that the cancer had returned in November of 2018 when she had emergency surgery to remove a blockage in her throat. It was then that doctors discovered that the cancer had returned, and by the time they caught it, the cancer had already spread to her lungs.

News of her diagnosis was particularly difficult on her husband.

“I don’t listen to the bad news. I don’t want to hear it. … I pray a lot, anywhere. I cry all the time,” Dog said. “I’m a sinner. I pray a lot. I have done double that. I constantly ask God to heal my honey and make sure He takes care of it. I’ve been telling Him that I’m going to try and quit smoking and cursing. I’m a dealmaker, and I’ll do anything.”

Despite her diagnosis, Beth has maintained a positive attitude and has made it clear that she intends to fight this with everything she has. She took to Instagram on Tuesday to give her fans an update on her health, using hashtags that included #cancersucks #stayhumbleandpray #itsonlyhair

Anyone who has seen Dog and Beth’s reality television shows knows that she is a fighter. If anyone can beat this cancer, it’s Beth!

Please keep Beth Chapman and her family in your thoughts and prayers!
