Makhia and Makyla Vincent are 14 year-old twin sisters from Detroit, Michigan who were walking to school recently when they found a wallet in the snow. The girls picked up the wallet and found that it was full of credit cards and hundreds of dollars in cash. As soon as they found a military ID in the wallet, however, they knew what they had to do.

The twins’ grandfather is also a veteran, so they already felt a bond with whoever the wallet belonged to.

“I would hate if that was my granddad and that happened to him, so I knew we had to return it,” Makyla said.

It turns out that the wallet belonged to Marc Walsh, a disabled Marine Corps veteran who had dropped it in the snow on his way home from the grocery store. Marc panicked when he realized his wallet was gone, as he was struggling to find work.

Makhia and Makyla found Marc’s address in his wallet and went to his house. Marc was not home at the time, so the girls held the wallet up to the home security camera before leaving it on the porch. When Marc’s roommate let him know that his wallet had been returned, he checked his home security footage and was stunned to see that it had been returned by such young girls.

When Detroit TV station WJBK got wind of Marc’s story, they arranged a meeting between him and the twins so that he could thank them in person. He ended up thanking them in a huge way that nobody was expecting! Check out his meeting with them below.
