A huge collection of “barn find” cars is being auctioned off in France after the owner passed away, and the vehicles are now worth quite a fortune.

The collection is made up of 81 cars that include a 1961 Lincoln Continental Mark III convertible, 1967 Cadillac Eldorado, 1968 Oldsmobile Toronado and 1981 Chevrolet Corvette, as well as Citroens, Renaults and models from various other brands.

The cars belonged to Henri Ruggier, who passed away last year at the age of 80. The auction house Intercheres was called in to deal with Henri’s estate, and workers with the organization were stunned to find the vehicles in a large barn and also scattered in the grounds around it.

None of the vehicles are in running condition, and they are being sold as is. While most are worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, one of the cars is worth far more than that.

This special vehicle is a 1968 Lamborghini Miura P400 supercar, the 118th of just 225 that were made. In it’s current condition, the car could sell for between $450,000 and $650,000. However, if it was restored, the car could go for as much as $1 million!

The auction is set to take place on Sunday in the southwestern French city of Tarbes.

It’s always amazing when gems like these cars are found seemingly out of nowhere. We hope that each and every one of these vehicles falls into good hands! I’m sure car enthusiasts worldwide are flocking to Tarbes to have a chance to see this very special collection of vintage cars!
