Michael Ketterer was one of the most popular contestants on the last season of “America’s Got Talent,” and the video below shows exactly why he went on to become so beloved.

Michael and his wife Ivey are the parents of six adorable children, five of whom are foster children. When their daughter Sophie was six, she told them that she wanted brothers so Michael and his wife turned to foster care and adopted three brothers. They then adopted a homeless little boy, and finally, a boy who suffers from cerebral palsy.

During Michael’s audition, the notoriously difficult to please Simon Cowell was such a fan of his that he pushed the golden buzzer for him. In the video below, Simon is again moved to tears by Michael’s powerful performance. When Tyra Banks asked Simon why he was so drawn to Michael, Simon replied, “He’s a great human being and a great singer. I’m so excited right now. I really, really am.”

In the video below, Michael sings a song with so much soul that there isn’t a dry eye in the house at the end. Everything that he has been through in his life comes across in the song, and he leaves it all out there onstage!

The video below has been viewed over four million times and fans are rooting for Michael to succeed in his music career.

“He sings from the heart and it truly shows that it is not just all about having a good voice. He has a big heart and it comes out to the surface!” one social media user commented, with another adding, “This man is such a good man, because he is a spirit filled man, A child of Jesus. Obviously Christ shines through this man.”

“His voice and stage presence is just perfect for the song,” a third user wrote. “You can just feel the emotions bursting from him. Truly, you’re worth Simon’s Golden Buzzer.”
