Courtney Hadwin is a teenage girl who is living proof that you should never judge a book by it’s cover.

Courtney may look like a shy 14 year-old girl, but when she takes the stage to perform, she is anything but timid! Though she did not win her initial season of “America’s Got Talent,” she won over the judges with her larger than life performing style. This week, Courtney returned to perform on “America’s Got Talent: The Champions,” and she definitely did not disappoint!

Courtney’s first audition for “America’s Got Talent” went viral, as people could not believe that such a young girl had such a huge voice. When she took the stage at first, the judges did not know what to make of her, and the notoriously difficult to please Simon Cowell was particularly puzzled by her. As soon as she started belting out Otis Redding’s “Hard to Handle,” however, Courtney had the judges comparing her to the late Janice Joplin!

Courtney finished in sixth place in her season, but she did not let this hold her back from achieving her dream. When she returned to “America’s Got Talent: The Champions,” Courtney decided to take a risk by singing an original song, “Pretty Little Thing,” instead of a cover. This left many wondering if she would be able to pull this off…

As soon as Courtney took the stage, she showed everyone that she is still a force to be reckoned with. She worked the stage like a pro, even running up to high-five the judges at one point!

Win or lose, Courtney is still a rock star in the eyes of her fans. Check out her performance for yourself below!
