Dogs often have a favorite stuffed animal that they form a very close bond with. That’s why it can be devastating for a dog when they lose this stuffed animal.

Lucky is a dog who had a favorite teddy bear who he had been inseparable from for six years. Even though the bear had become more ragged over time, Lucky still loved it just as much as ever.

All was going well until Lucky took his bear outside with him one night when he went out to use the bathroom. In the darkness, Lucky somehow dropped his dog and could not find where he was. With a snowstorm approaching quickly, Lucky had to go inside without his beloved bear.

By the next morning, much of the snow had melted, and Michaella’s dad went outside to try and find the bear. When he found the beloved toy, things were not looking good for him.

Though the bear was in very bad condition, Michaella’s father refused to give up on him, as he knew how important he was to the dog.

Michaella’s dad went about nursing the bear back to health however he could.

He kept Michaella updated on the dog’s progress throughout the day.

The father set up an entire recovery bed for the bear complete with an IV drip. Lucky was even allowed to visit his dear friend with his sister Laci.

You’ll be happy to know that the bear has since made a full recovery!

“It has no stuffing left in it anymore and it goes everywhere with him,” Michaella said. “He plays with it at all times. He protects it like it’s his own baby.”

We’re glad to see that Lucky has his special friend back!
