It was a cold Michigan morning recently when Alethea Jo Mshar arrived at the airport with her on Alex, who suffers from Down’s syndrome.

The video below opens with Alex sitting in the passenger seat of Alethea’s car, pondering two plane tickets that she had just handed him. It takes him a few seconds, but a smile of recognition soon starts to form on his face.

“Do you want to take a guess where we would be going in Orlando, Florida?” Alethea asks, and a few more seconds pass as the wheels in Alex’s head turn.

“Disney?” he whispers hopefully, and when his mother responds with a resounding “yes,” he has the most priceless reaction!

Alex can’t believe his ears when his mother tells him that they are already packed and are leaving that very day! His dream of going to Disney World is suddenly coming true.

Alethea posted the video of his reaction to Facebook, where it quickly went viral. Soon enough, she was posting photos of their exploits at Disney World. Alex was clearly having the time of his life!

Alethea is also a mother to a younger son named Ben, who also has Down’s syndrome as well as other medical issues. This was a great opportunity for her to bond with her older son alone on a trip together!

We hope that Disney World was everything that Alex hoped it would be and more! Watch his emotional reaction for yourself in the video below.
