Members of the United States military make huge sacrifices for the rest of us as they are separated from their loved ones for months at a time while they protect our freedoms.

2nd lieutenant Jamie Douglas and her husband, 2nd lieutenant Jordan Pruitt, know all too well how difficult it can be to make these sacrifices while serving in the military. Though the couple just got married, they have spent the past eight months separated from each other as they served their country in different places.

Jamie had just returned home from her deployment in Iraq when she learned that her husband was currently receiving medical training at Fort Sam Houston Training Center. Jordan had no idea that Jamie was already back, so she decided to surprise him by showing up at the training center!

As soon as Jamie walked into his classroom, Jordan could not help but get up and run to her immediately.

After eight months of being apart, a rush of emotions hit Jordan all at once when he was once again reunited with the love of his life. Jordan even lifted up Jamie during their joyous embrace.

Video of their reunion has quickly gone viral, touching the hearts of people all over the world. It serves as a reminder of the sacrifices members of the military make when they go overseas to serve our country. It is not easy for them to be separated from their loved ones, yet they do it to protect the rest of our freedoms.
