Yet another member of Meghan Markle’s staff has quit, becoming just the latest staffer of hers to leave their post in the eight months since she became a royal.

The staffer, whose name has not been released, was a female bodyguard employed by Scotland Yard. The bodyguard can be pictured protecting Meghan in the photo below.

This comes weeks after the departures of Meghan’s personal assistant Melissa Touabti and her private secretary Samantha Cohen, who worked with the royal family for 17 years. The departures have caused rumors to spread that both Meghan and her husband Prince Harry are difficult to work for.

A source with Scotland Yard, however, claimed that the bodyguard’s reasons for leaving have nothing to do with Meghan.

“It’s true she is leaving. She told the household and principals at Christmas,” the source said. “But it’s for personal reasons and absolutely nothing to do with the duke or duchess, who are hugely disappointed at losing her.”

“She has made a decision to leave the Met Police. It’s a real shame as she was a great addition to the team and hugely liked,” the source continued. “It came as quite a shock. Everyone was very sad at the news. As was she. It was clear it was a decision she hadn’t taken lightly.”

However, another insider said that Meghan is looked at as “one of the people” who has presented challenges to those protecting her.

“Unlike someone who has grown up in the royal family and has been used to having close protection from an early age, it can be quite constraining,” the source said. “Even though she was a famous actress, she could still do what she wanted in the way of getting around freely. But in her current role she can’t go anywhere without her protection team and that’s a massive constraining force on an individual like her.”

Adjusting to being a royal can’t be easy, and we hope that Meghan is able to get through this transition period and find the perfect staff to work with!
