A woman was out in her yard one day when an old, tired-looking dog wandered up to her. She could tell from his collar and his belly that he was well fed and taken care of by his owners.

As the dog walked up to her, the woman gave him a pat on the head. The animal proceeded to follow her back into her house, curl up in a corner, and fall fast asleep!

The dog woke up about an hour later and walked back to the door, where the woman promptly let him out.

The dog came back the next day and greeted the woman in her yard once again. He then followed her inside and fell asleep for an hour in the same exact spot that he had one day prior. The dog kept doing this same thing each day for the next few weeks.

Finally, the woman got so curious that she pinned a note to the dog’s collar. The note read, ”I would like to find out who the owner of this wonderful sweet dog is and ask if you are aware that almost every afternoon your dog comes to my house for a nap.”

When the dog returned to her house the next day, he had a new note attached to his collar. This note read, ”He lives in a home with 6 children, 2 under the age of 3, he’s trying to catch up on his sleep. Can I come with him tomorrow?”
