Internet users everywhere are furious at a woman who demanded that her Secret Santa buy her another gift after learning that he spent $20 less than the $50 spending limit that had been imposed.

A Reddit user shared the conversation between the unnamed woman and the Secret Santa, who both work together at an HR company. The woman tells the man that she looked up the gifts he got her and found that they came out to just $30, which infuriated her since the spending limit was $50. She then demanded that he make this up to her by buying her a $120 Samsung Galaxy tablet, saying that he can afford it since he is childless and makes more money than she does.

The messages between the two start off pleasantly, with her thanking him for buying her chocolates and a blanket. However, things then quickly get awkward when she calls him out for spending less than the $50 limit.

“So… I know this is kinda awkward..but the spending limit was $50 and I looked online and it seems that the blanket and chocolates only add up to about 30?” she wrote. “Do you think it’s possible you could get me something else? My kids have been spending me up the wazoo! LOL.”

The man offered to give her $20 in cash, but that was not enough to satisfy her.

It was then that the woman asked him to buy her the tablet, to which he responded, “A $120 tablet? I think that’s a bit over the $50 spending limit! haha.”

“I know.. it’s just that my kids have been spending me up the wazoo!” she responded, not giving up. “And it would make their day if mommy gave them something nice like this! Thanks I appreciate it.”

“And I don’t mean to be abrasive or anything, but you’re an engineer so you make quite a bit more than I do! LOL,” she added. “I’d also just take $120 in cash if that makes it easier on you!”

The man decided to continue standing his ground.

“The spending limit was $50, so I’d be more than happy to give you $20, or something worth $20,” he said. “I understand you have kids, but I also have things I need to pay for, and unfortunately $120 for a co-worker is a bit out of my budget.”

This REALLY got the woman angry!

“You’re kidding me right? You don’t even have kids… what else would you spend your money on?” she wrote, adding three minutes later, “Now you’re gonna ignore me… REAL nice of you! During the holidays!”

“Honestly don’t know how you live with yourself. Disgusting!” she wrote. “Fine I’ll take the $20. Cash please.”

By this point, however, the man was having none of it.

“Lol forget it,” he wrote. “Thanks for the karma.
