A new train trip being offered by the Alaska Railroad is offering travelers the chance to experience the Northern Lights like never before!

The railroad is offering an eight day adventure that will follow the green and purple glow of the Northern Lights from Anchorage to Fairbanks, Alaska. This is definitely a once in a lifetime opportunity to see one of the greatest wonders of this world!

One of the stops along the way is at the Chena Hot Springs, which is worth taking a dip into!

The first trip along this route departed on Christmas Eve, but other trips are scheduled with departures taking place on February 4 & 25, 2019 and March 4, 11, 18 & 25, 2019.

This trip allows travelers to experience the Alaska range and its centerpiece Denali, the highest peak in all of North America, like ever before.

Travelers who take this trip will have the opportunity to get off the train and do a “flightseeing” tour of the mountains that allow them to view the epic landscape from a small plane!

Each night, those who are on the train will be treated to unforgettable views of the Northern Lights, which are created when gaseous particles in the Earth’s atmosphere collide with charged particles released from the sun’s atmosphere.
