It’s that time of year again when we decorate our house with Christmas lights, put up a beautiful tree inside our home, and start planning for all the gifts that will be exchanged and food that will be eaten.

Sadly, in all of the hustle and bustle, it is easy to forget the true meaning of Christmas. Amy Basel is one of the people that is aware of this and doesn’t hesitate to let people know what we should really be focusing on this time of year.

So when Amy saw something at a McDonald’s, she couldn’t help but be caught off guard. She knew the moment she saw it that the employees inside had put their jobs on the line making such a bold, religious statement. Amy immediately pulled over and snapped a photo of what she saw. Drawn on the window of the McDonald’s was a nativity scene with the words “Rejoice” and “His name is Jesus.”

The heartwarming nativity scene made Amy’s whole day. She quickly posted the photo to Facebook and said, “Growing up in The Mitten, you would NEVER see this. Tennessee McDonald’s, you made my day.”

Clearly, someone at McDonald’s has remembered the true meaning of Christmas and how important it is to keep our focus on God throughout the holiday season. It wasn’t just Amy who thought the nativity scene was amazing either. Her post has gone viral and has been shared some 82,000 times and liked over 136,000 times.

So thank you to the many Christians out there who are determined not to let the meaning of Christmas get lost in the chaos, and to the employees at this McDonald’s for standing their ground.

Be sure to share this amazing story with your family and friends. Maybe it will inspire other people and businesses to share their true Christmas spirit this holiday season.
