It has just been revealed that an old series of children’s toys could be worth thousands of dollars!

Once common toys like Beanie Babies, Pez dispensers and Cabbage Patch kids now could be worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. The old toys that sell at the highest value are an old Pokemon card, which could sell for as high as $11,000, and the first charity edition Princess Diana Beanie Baby, which once cost around $10 and is currently being auctioned for a whopping $92,500.

A vintage Cabbage Patch Kid plush doll could sell for $5,000, while an original 1998 Furby’s often sell for over $1,000, even though they cost just $35 when they were released.

If you were such an avid Furby collector that you were able to get the entire original Dream Collection, you could end up making close to $2,000.

Another item that can make you a pretty penny is the first edition Sega Genesis video game console, that cost approximately $180 when it was released and now goes for $5,000.

Here are a few more old toys that have gained new value:

1. Polly Pocket Complete Funfair Collection $2,500

2. Vintage Mattel Barbie Original Brunette doll $15,000

3. Vintage Lego Letter Bricks $3,800

4. Tamagotchi red and white version $4,000

5. Western Stampin’ Barbie Doll and Western Star Horse set $236

It’s amazing that these toys that were once so cheap are now making people fortunes! I know I’ll be going through my closets to see what I still have. There’s no telling how much money you could make off of the toys you once played with!
