It’s been eight years since Susan Boyle rose to fame when she performed “I Dreamed A Dream” on “Britain’s Got Talent.” Since then, Boyle has gone on to be one of the most beloved singers in the world.

Boyle has achieved international success, releasing six more albums and selling more than 25 million records worldwide. Her second album “The Gift” was full of Christmas songs like “The First Noel”, “Away in a Manger”, and “Auld Lang Syne.” However, it was her performance of “O Holy Night” on “Larry King Live” that really stole everyone’s hearts!

Boyle appeared onstage wearing a regal, black dress that is a beautiful contrast with the children behind her, who were wearing white choir robes.

Boyle sang the lyrics to this classic Christmas song in a hauntingly amazing way.

“O holy night, the stars are brightly shining, it is the night of our dear Savior’s birth; long lay the world in sin and error and pining till He appeared and the soul felt its worth…” she sang.

Things get even better around the third verse, when the children’s choir joins in with her. Video of the performance has quickly gone viral, being viewed almost 1.5 million times!

“She is one of the most beautiful success stories, especially for older women, across the globe—never give up, as sometimes like this DREAMS happen later…but they do come. God bless Susan Boyle, what an inspiration to us all,” one person commented.

“She sends chills down my spine with her powerful and most beautiful voice!” added another. “This song in particular starts on earth but slowly, through Susan Boyle and that magnificent choir background, raises you as near to heaven as one could ever hope!  Her rising crescendos lift the soul and carry the spirit as high as any angel ever could.”
