Jazmin Felder was puzzled when she heard meowing coming from behind a tree in her yard last year. When she went to investigate, she found a stray cat named Buddy, who looked to be very nervous.

“I was raised to always take care of what life brought to me,” Jazmin explained. “And every time a cat crossed my doorstep, I gave them a home of their own and all of my love.”

Though he was shy, Buddy seemed happy that someone had come to help him.

“He was at the very top and he was so happy to see someone, he came running down to me,” Jazmin said. “We brought him inside and he was so happy to be there.”

Once he was inside her home, however, Buddy refused to integrate with any of her family members or with her four other cats, choosing to instead spend much of his time hiding in the corner. Buddy’s anti-social behavior continued for the next six months, until a 5-week-old grey kitten called Hannah was introduced to the family.

Hannah was Buddy’s polar opposite, as she was outgoing and friendly to everyone. Much to Jazmin’s surprise, Buddy and Hannah soon became best friends!

“She’s extremely playful and loves to cuddle up with you and sleep,” Jazmin said of Hannah. “She will run around with our dogs like she’s one too.”

Jazmin saw a change in Buddy as soon as he laid eyes on Hannah.

“He has always been reserved and shy, but from the first moment of meeting her his entire personality changed,” she said. “They don’t just show affection while grooming one another, they hug and comfort each other. When friends and family visit, they all tease how they want a love like Buddy and Hannah.”

Hannah has become Buddy’s cat girlfriend and completely brought him out of his shell!

“Seeing the bond they have formed together and seeing how Hannah brings out his happiness melts my heart,” Jazmin said.
