Christmas season is finally here, which means that everyone is getting in the holiday spirit. This time of year is especially fun for parents of small children, and it’s great to use this time of year to spend more time with them.

The British royal family enjoys spending time with each other just as every other family does, but this is also a particularly busy time of year for them. Kate Middleton has been keeping busy making lots of appearances with Prince William, but last week, she took the time out of her busy schedule to have a fun girls’ day with her daughter Princess Charlotte.

Kate and Charlotte had a blast together when they attended a dress rehearsal for a production of The Nutcracker at the Royal Opera House.

William had previously revealed that his young daughter loved to dance, so it’s not a surprise that Kate chose this activity for their girls day!

“My daughter Charlotte loves dancing,” William said earlier this year, with Kate adding that she is already taking lessons. A passion for dance is something that Charlotte inherited from her grandmother, Princess Diana.

“She loved dancing; she was a fantastic dancer,” William said of his mother. “We’ve been going through her music collection recently, and there’s some quite eclectic stuff in there. She was elated by the skill.”

It’s heartwarming to see Charlotte having so much fun with her mother, and having so much in common with her late grandmother!
