The Christmas season is finally here, which means we’re all starting to listen to our favorite holiday songs. One of the most beloved Christmas songs is “Jingle Bells,” and one rendition of it is going viral!

The United States Navy Band has been doing a holiday concert for years. At their 2015 concert, the band performed “Jingle Bells,” and their performance could not have been more epic!

The band decided to make the performance a friendly duel between a guitar and banjo player. Senior Chief Petty Officer Keith Arneson played the banjo while Petty Officer 1st Class Joe Friedman was on the guitar. Arneson even had some fun with the audience by sneaking in a bit of the Star Wars theme at the beginning!

Their instruments give “Jingle Bells” a unique sound the likes of which we have never heard before!

Believe it or not, the original song set to the “Jingle Bells” tune was meant to be a Thanksgiving song. We’re very glad that they changed it, otherwise we might not have gotten a chance to hear this amazing performance!

The video has gone viral, being viewed over one million times!

“You know the best thing about this? Both guys look like they’re genuinely having fun,” one social media user wrote, with another adding, “Now THAT was one awesome performance. Musicians having FUN and THAT is the winner since one cannot play dueling banjos without a guitar side kick.”

“Brilliant Musicianship and clever arrangement,” wrote a third.

Check out the performance for yourself in the video below!
