Any parent of teenagers knows how difficult it can be to handle them at times. One of the hardest aspects about dealing with teenagers is when they start to lie to us, and this was the situation mother Heidi Johnson recently found herself in with her 13 year-old son Aaron.

Aaron lied to Heidi about completing his homework, and when she confronted him about it, he told her that he would get to it later. Aaron has been making a little bit of money off of YouTube videos, and this has left him with a sense of entitlement. That’s why Heidi decided to send him a letter to teach him a life lesson about gratitude.

The hilarious letter has since gone viral, with internet users everywhere applauding Heidi for it!

Aaron was so angry when he read the letter that he crumpled it up and left the apartment.

“When he could be respectful, and I was more calm, we would discuss it further,” Heidi explained.

One hour later, Heidi found that her parenting technique had worked, as Aaron returned home after taking some time for himself and apologized to his mother. He then asked her if there was anything he could do to make it up to her!

After they made up, Heidi wrote a detailed contract with her son to have a set of guidelines and understanding between them both. The contract goes into detail about what Aaron needs to do to help out around the house, and how he has to get his homework done.

This just goes to show that Heidi’s unique parenting style paid off in a big way! What are your thoughts? Let us know in the comments section.
