When a child gets to meet Santa, there is nothing more amazing then watching the wonder in their eyes. The smiles on their faces as they tell Santa their Christmas wishes is absolutely priceless. So when one little girl saw who she believed to be Santa shopping in the grocery store, she immediately got that same sense of awe in her eyes and couldn’t help but go talk to him.

Robert Riley says he was shopping at Walmart in Hurricane, West Virginia when his three-year-old daughter Sophie Jo spotted the man in red. He had an uncanny resemblance to Santa Claus too with his pretty white beard.

“She was sneaking around the aisle with her back against the toys,” said her older sister. “She even put her finger up to her lips and said ‘Shh. It’s Santa!'”

Although the man wasn’t in full Santa suit, he did have an uncanny resemblance. The man’s name was Roger Larck and although he isn’t actually Santa, he did take the next few moments to play along with Sophie Jo.

Sophie Jo immediately showed off her pretty nails to Santa and told him that she would be leaving cookies for him on Christmas eve. He also told her that the reindeer don’t have much grass at the North Pole. Sophie Jo’s sister recorded the magical encounter and it’s been viewed millions of times since she shared it on social media. This is one adorable moment that this little girl isn’t likely to forget any time soon.

Her mother, Erika Riley, says now she thinks maybe there really is a Santa. “That’s exactly how I picture him to be,” she said about Larck. The Santa look alike says he is just glad he got to be part of something that so many have enjoyed.

“It melted my heart when it happened,” he said. Check out the video below to see the amazing encounter and be sure to share it with your family and friends.
