An empty church has an eerie beauty about it that warms your soul. That is exactly the setting that the a capella group Home Free used to make their new music video “O Holy Night.”

The five men use the tranquility of the church to keep the focus of their music on the true meaning of Christmas and the result is a breathtaking rendition of a Christmas classic. Although the band has millions of fans today, and it’s easy to see why when you watch the video below, it didn’t start that way. This group had to fight for the stardom they have these days.

The band was actually formed in the early 2000’s by brothers Chris and Adam Rupp. They found several other members to round out their talents and the group was born. After several months together, they auditioned for the show “Sing-Off” and became the champions of that season. Now they record new music and cover hits of some of their favorite songs.

The church in their new Christmas video provides the perfect acoustics for their rendition of “O Holy Night” and you can’t help but let the peaceful, soothing voices of the men overtake you.

Check out the video below to see this talented group take on this Christmas classic and be sure to share it with your family and friends.
