When a woman gets married, she often wants to put her own unique touch on her special day. That’s why when Mary Holand Tosse of Norway was planning her wedding with her fiancé Ronny Eidsvik, she came up with her own idea to make her nuptials special.

Mary could not wait to surprise her husband and her wedding guests with what she had planned! The video below this story opens with the doors in the traditional Christian chapel where the wedding was taking place opening to reveal Mary’s father walking her down the aisle. Suddenly, however, everything comes to a halt!

Mary then shocked everyone by pulling out a microphone that she had hidden behind her back. The bride proceeded to serenade her fiancé as she walked down the aisle, clasping her bouquet of pale yellow roses, her arm draped through her father’s. The song that she sings is “You Raise Me Up,” a song originally written by the Irish-Norwegian duo Secret Garden.

Ronny was visibly touched by his wife’s song, and he clearly understood the message that she was sending him with it.

Video of Mary’s song has quickly gone viral, being viewed over 42 million times!

“Beautiful singing voice, and a very touching declaration of love and commitment to her new husband,” one social media user commented. “In these dark times, we all need to be reminded of the positive values our European ancestors have bequeathed to us over the centuries. I wish Maria and Ronny much happiness in their new life together…”
