It’s been a year and a half since singing ventriloquist Darci Lynne Farmer won season 12 of “America’s Got Talent.” This week, she got her very own special on NBC called “Darci Lynne: My Hometown Christmas.”

During the show, Darci Lynne performed with various singers like singer-songwriter Toby Keith, country music star Hunter Hayes, three-time Grammy Award-winning and multi-platinum selling artist Pentatonix. However, one of the best moments came when she performed “What A Wonderful World” with the one and only Kristin Chenoweth!

Darci graciously said that while she was excited about all the stars that agreed to perform, getting Kristin on the show was on of her top priorities.

“Kristin Chenoweth was definitely one of my picks,” Darci Lynne said. “I wanted her to come on so bad, but everyone that was on was so exciting to meet. There wasn’t anyone that I didn’t want. Toby Keith was amazing. Pentatonix are amazing, and meeting Hunter Hayes was awesome.”

Darci Lynne is preparing for her next venture, which is the NBC talent competition show “The Champions.”

“‘The Champions’ is a new show,” Darci Lynne explained. “It’s where contestants from all over the world, like from ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ or ‘Spain’s Got Talent’, we all come together and compete against each other. So, it’s basically the Olympics of AGT, but it’s a really tough competition. It’s the best of the best.”

“If you’ve ever seen the Hunger Games movies, it’s like the Quarter Quell, where all the winners come back and they fight to the death,” she added.
