Ever since he came in second place on the eighth season of “American Idol,” Adam Lambert has been hailed as one of the most talented singers to emerge from the show.

This week, he reminded everyone just why he has this reputation when he challenged late night host James Corden to an epic Queen singing battle. Making the situation even better is that Queen’s Brian May and Roger Taylor were there as well!

It all started when Lambert and the Queen members came on “The Late Late Show,” and Corden joked that the would make a better frontman for the band than Lambert, who is preparing to be Queen’s leading vocalist during their summer tour. Upon hearing this, Lambert emerged from backstage and issued his challenge. It was game on immediately!

Queen’s Brian and Roger provided backoff during the sing-off of their songs, and the crowd wondered who would come out victorious!

Lambert performed “We Will Rock You,” though the crowd loved it, Corden described his attempt as “amateur hour.” Corden then performed “Don’t Stop Me Now,” and he was so good that Lambert feared he was about to lose his summer job!

Corden’s talent forced Lambert to step it up when he performed “Another One Bites the Dust,” and once he was finished, Corden conceded that he was the better frontman!

Freddie Mercury would undoubtedly be very proud to see how well these two performed his music. Lambert and Corden concluded the segment by performing the duet “Somebody to Love,” showing their singing battle was all in good fun.
