Gabi Mann is an 8 year-old girl who has spent the last four years forming a very special bond with a crow.

Gabi started feeding the crow when he would appear in her parents’ garden in Seattle, Washington. Before long, she was stunned when the crow started returning the favor in a big way!

To Gabi’s surprise, the crow started bringing her gifts in exchange for the food. She has treasured each and every gift the crow brings her, keeping them in labeled bags inside a storage bead box. Each gift reminds Gabi of her friendship with the crow, and she does not want to lose any of them.

An example of how Gabi labels her gifts is that one of the bags says, “Black table by feeder. 2:30 p.m. 09 Nov 2014,” which is when she received a broken light bulb.

Other gifts that the crow has given her includes Lego pieces, buttons, paperclips, beads and pieces of foam. Gabi’s favorite gift is a pearl colored heart.

“It’s showing me how much they love me,” she said.

Ironically, Gabi first started feeding crows by accident when she dropped a chicken nugget as she stepped out of her parents’ car. Crows immediately wandered over to eat the food, and from there, she started leaving food crumbs for them when she would walk to the bus stop with her brother.

Before long, the crows were waiting for Gabi to get off the school bus each day because they knew that she would feed them!

It’s so heartwarming to see a little girl create such a strong bond with animals! Find out more about this in the video below!
