People get thrown out of bars all the time when they have a bit too much to drink. In a new viral video, however, a different kind of creature is kicked out of a bar in a hilarious way!

The video opens with a porcupine confidently walking into Louie’s Douglas Inn on Douglas Island in Alaska. The person holding the camera follows the porcupine closely, eager to see what comes of this situation. The camera person finally calls the bar employees to come deal with the porcupine.

A quick-thinking worker responds by grabbing a broom and shooing the porcupine towards the door. As he ushers the porcupine back out onto the street, the animal makes it clear that he wants to get around him and get back inside. This porcupine definitely wants a drink!

“We accidentally left the pub’s back door open and this chubby porcupine decided he’d come on inside!” the camera person wrote alongside the video.

Finally, the porcupine had no choice but to give up and walk away. This poor fella was ejected from the bar but he’ll just have to try happy hour somewhere else!

There are more than a dozen porcupine species but the North American porcupine is the only kind that lives in the U.S. and Canada. It is also the largest of all porcupines and can have 30,000 or more quills on its body. Porcupines are typically not aggressive and only attack when they are threatened.
