Members of the U.S. military make huge sacrifices to serve their country to protect the rest of our freedoms. Their family members also make major sacrifices, since they are separated for their loved ones for months at a time, often not knowing if their loved ones are safe or not.

Chris Daughterty is a Navy serviceman who dearly loves his wife Natasha and their three children. He loves serving in the military because he feels like he is doing his part to make the world a better place for his kids.

Chris and Natasha deal with his long deployments by being transparent and hiding nothing from each other. While Chris is serving his country, Natasha is back home raising their children and making sure that their household runs properly.

During Chris’s last seven month deployment, Natasha did something very out of character when she lied to him by hiding something huge. Soon after he left home, Natasha learned that she was pregnant with their fourth child. Though she could have told him the news over the phone, she decided to hide it from him so that she could show him in person.

By the time he returned home, Natasha was seven months pregnant, so she was definitely showing!

Hiding her pregnancy from Chris for months was hard, as Natasha had to keep her growing belly hidden and had to also hide all of her routine doctor’s appointments from him. On top of that, she had to keep her three other children from telling their dad the news!

Natasha did such a good job keeping this secret that Chris never suspected a thing. Imagine his surprise when he stepped off his ship and saw how pregnant his wife was!
