Dogs are known for the fierce loyalty to humans, which is why so many of them have found themselves becoming service dogs for veterans who are struggling with PTSD.

Freya is one such German Shepherd who has become a service dog for a veteran suffering from PTSD after returning home from war. Freya is used to meeting all of her soldier daddy’s needs, but in this video, he repays her in a way that she will never forget!

Freya had been home for months while her soldier father was deployed, and she was not expecting him back anytime soon. That’s why it came as such a heartwarming surprise when he showed up when Freya least expected it!

As soon as Freya spotted her owner, who was decked out in full uniform, she sprinted right for him. It’s clear that she never forgot him during the months that he was away!

Freya’s reaction has made this video go viral, touching the hearts of people all over the world!

“This video is so cute and sweet,” one user wrote, with another adding, “So heartwarming. This would be me (but as a human) if my dad wasn’t home for months, then me having finally seen him, also, I would be crying.”
