Every dog owner knows how much we love our beloved canines. While we love our dogs with all our hearts, they sometimes end up causing some big problems for us. That’s exactly what happened to this dog owner from Detroit, Michigan!

Security camera footage from inside the home shows the moment the dog managed to turn on the stove and cause a box of soft drinks to explode. The incident happened at around 9am on a Monday morning when the owner was already at work.

“Normally the dogs are blocked out of the kitchen, but they somehow pushed the gates through and made their way inside,” the owner said.

The video shows the dog, whose name is Dahlia, look at the stove curiously before inadvertently turning on the burner. This causes a box of Faygo soda to catch on fire and eventually explode!

The owner did not get home for a few more hours, and he was stunned when she saw what had happened while she was gone.

“I had just gotten home and upon unlocking and opening my door, I heard a clicking sound coming from the kitchen. I ran inside to see what as going on and I came across a 12pack of pop that had burnt to a crisp on my stove,” the resident said.

He’s only thankful that the fire did not spread, as this incident could have had a very tragic outcome.

“Luckily, the fire remained lit and no gas poured out into the house,” he said.
