When a woman finds out that she is expecting a child, the next nine months are a mix of joy and nervousness. We are excited because soon we will have a new baby, but nervous because of all the things going on inside of us that we cannot see. Every little thing that happens inside the womb is detrimental to the health of our baby. Even something that may seem minor can make a huge impact on the life our child will live once they are born.

If you think about the fact that a baby is formed entirely from two small cells, the enormity of the things that can go wrong can be overwhelming. But one of the things that is most common to go wrong in babies are issues with the umbilical cord. An umbilical cord is the connection between a mother and her child.

It helps to nourish the baby and safely get rid of waste while the baby is still in the womb. This means that if something goes wrong with the umbilical cord it can cause significant issues for the unborn baby, and even death. Babies who are busy in the womb tend to have the most problems. They sometimes use the cord as a toy and play with it. As a result, the umbilical cord can get pinched or put into a position where it doesn’t function correctly.

Even worse, it can get wrapped around the babies neck causing death. But for one lucky baby, even though the umbilical cord wasn’t exactly the way it should have been, the baby was born perfectly healthy.

The baby was born healthy, pink, and breathing, but when the doctor noticed the cord, he immediately told the dad, “Get your camera, your baby is a miracle.”

The dad quickly took a picture of his child’s umbilical cord because it was tied in a perfect knot. Luckily though, the knot didn’t keep the cord from working properly and the family welcomed a healthy baby into the world.

Isn’t it remarkable how nature works? Share this miraculous story with your family and friends. It’s not every day that we get to see something like this.
