A brave little girl is being hailed as a hero this week after she died trying to save her younger brothers from getting hit by a truck.

Last Tuesday, 9 year-old Alivia Stahl walked her 6 year-old twin brothers Xzavier and Mason to their bus stop in Fulton County, Indiana just as she did every morning. Alivia always watched out for her brothers, making sure they were always safe during this morning walk.

Sadly, tragedy struck on this morning when a pickup truck lost control and plowed into the bus stop, killing the three siblings. Police say that it looks like Alivia used her final moments to try and shield her little brothers from the truck by putting her own body in front of theirs. She’s now being called a hero for the bravery that she exhibited in her final moments.

Alivia’s father, Michael Stahl, is devastated that he lost his little girl.

“I don’t get to watch my baby grow up,” Michael said. “I don’t get to watch her have her Sweet 16. I don’t get to watch prom. I don’t get to watch her walk down the aisle to get married. That’s all gone.”

“Why are people in such a hurry to get where they’re going no to pay attention to our children?” he added.

Maverik Lowe, 11, was also hit by the truck and left seriously injured.

“He suffered broken ribs, busted knee cap, fractures in his arm and wrist. His leg is in pins and rods holding it together,” his GoFundMe page states. “He had plastic surgery already to put his face back together. He has slipped disks in his spine by his neck. He is a very, very strong kid. Along with medical bills, his mom will not be leaving his side. With that, she will need all of the help she can get to cover expenses helping with bills. Anything is appreciated. Please pray for this family.”

Please keep the families of these poor children in your thoughts and prayers.
