There’s nothing like movies that were made in the 1980s. The quirkiness of these movies is unparalleled, and a perfect example of this is the 1987 film Mannequin.

We just rewatched this amazing romantic comedy, and it left us with a few questions that we would like to be answered!

First of all, was she a mannequin or some kind of statue in each time period she visited.

Emmy begins in ancient Egypt, where she prays to the gods to get away from her arranged marriage. They are able to get her out of there, and Emmy proceeds to go on an adventure. A cartoon montage shows the huge amount of time that Emmy travels through. She later claims to have met a lot of people during this time, but was she human during all of this, or a mannequin?

Is she a mannequin as a punishment of some sort, or is this just how the gods work? We need answers!

We would also like to know if Emmy will ever age?

Emmy is still as young as she always was when she gets married. Does this mean she will stay young as her new husband Jonathan grows old? Will she go on to a new adventure after he dies?

In addition, were there no security cameras in this mall?

Security cameras were definitely a thing in the 1980s, so one would think a lot of the confusion could have been solved easily.

Why didn’t he just bring her home with him?

Her being stolen was unexpected, but if a mannequin comes to life and starts talking to you, you should probably bring it home, right? He’s already taken her around on his motorcycle, so he’s definitely not afraid of being seen.

Finally, is Rambo alright?

He’s getting wheeled out in a wagon at the end, but we need to know if he is okay!
