Nothing is more beautiful and patriotic than seeing a group of people pay tribute to our veterans from days gone by. That is exactly what the inspiration was for the group “The D-Day Darlings” who appeared on Britain’s Got Talent.

The ladies sang a beautiful rendition of the song, “We’ll Meet Again” while dressed in WWII themed attire. The all-female group wanted to raise awareness of the fallen soldiers who gave their lives fighting for their country.

The whole room was moved so much by their performance, that all the judges said yes. The girls were such a hit that they even made it to the final. Throughout the competition, they displayed images of their grandfathers and great-grandfathers to give context to their performances.

The ladies say they don’t want the legacies of older generations to be forgotten. The group performs at D-Day parades, and even birthday parties for veterans that want to recapture their youth.

For the finale, the group decided to step up their game. For their final performance the D-Day darlings really brought home their message of patriotism by honoring some of the veterans in person.

Performing the classic Vera Lynn Song, “White Cliffs of Dover”, some very special guests join them on stage. A group of World War II veterans joined them and the crowd burst into applause.

It was a touching moment and many tears were shed. Check out the amazing video below and be sure to share it with your family and friends.
