Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are currently in New Zealand as they continue their tour of that part of the world. On Monday, they joined a group of children for a fun event that is a big tradition in this country.

Harry and Meghan showed off their fun side by participating in a “welly-wanging” contest, which involves a group of children throwing boots. Harry and Meghan competed against each other, with the Duke of Sussex throwing blue boots with blue and yellow spots while his wife threw red-and-white-spotted boots.

In the end, Meghan came out victorious, with Kensington Palace posting video of her victory!

Ryan Anderson, a 10 year-old boy who was on Meghan’s team, said afterwards that the royal appeared to be surprised when she won.

“She didn’t know she could throw that far and she surprised herself,” he said.

Harry and Meghan are currently in Auckland on their tour after visiting Australia, Fiji, and Tonga. They are set to head back to the United Kingdom on Thursday.

On Sunday, Meghan gave a powerful speech in New Zealand about women’s rights, showing that she is settling into her role as a royal quite nicely.

“Suffrage is not simply about the right to vote but also about what that represents: the basic and fundamental human right of being able to participate in the choices for your future and that of your community, the involvement and voice that allows you to be a part of the very world that you are a part of,” she said.
