Gorillas are known for being one of the creatures in the wild that are the most similar to humans. That’s why it’s not unusual for gorillas and humans to form special bonds with each other.

Now, an adorable video is going viral showing a baby gorilla bond with a little human boy through and adorable game of peekaboo!

Shot at the Columbus Zoo, the video shows a little boy named Isaiah meet the zoo’s baby gorilla.

The Delaware, Ohio zoo is located on the O’Shaughnessy Reservoir, and it is home to over 7,000 animals. The zoo first gained fame in 1956 when a gorilla named Colo became the first gorilla to be born in captivity.

Sherry Chute recently visited the zoo with her son Isaiah and decided to check out the gorilla enclosure with him.

“He [Isaiah] was just looking at the gorillas, and we said to him, ‘Isaiah, what do the gorillas do?’ and he started pounding on his chest,” Sherry said.

The video opens with a baby gorilla named Kamoli sitting by the glass of his enclosure, watching Isaiah approach the other side of the glass. The gorilla then hides behind a tree, waiting to see if Isaiah will follow him.

As soon as Isaiah followed him, Kamoli darted away again, starting a game of peekaboo!

“Go get him, Isaiah,” Sherry said as her toddler laughed, clearly having a great time.

“Isaiah is just like that,” Sherry later said. “Anyone who knows him knows that he’s super playful. It was a really fun interaction.”
