On Monday, Kensington Palace announced that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are expecting their first children, much to the delight of royal fans all over the world. Though people all over the globe were overjoyed to hear this news, one member of the royal family was not pleased at all.

While everyone else learned of Meghan’s pregnancy on Monday, the couple told the royal family on Friday during Harry’s cousin Princess Eugenie’s wedding to Jack Brooksbank at Windsor Castle. The news reportedly brought Eugenie to tears, as she felt like she was being upstaged at her own wedding.

A royal source said that the pregnancy announcement “tipped Eugenie over the edge.”

“Eugenie disappeared for a while after Harry and Meghan told the royal family the news,” the insider added. “She felt furious at having been upstaged again by Harry and Meghan.”

Eugenie was already feeling upstaged by Meghan given the fact that she was getting married at the very same venue as the former actress did back in May.

“One, their wedding at the chapel was watched by millions on TV and in person, compared to the hatred that was slung at a Eugenie for spending so much on her day,” the source continued. “Secondly, she then was beaten at her reception by Meghan when she announced she was expecting.”

“Any bride would have had their nose put out of joint by something like that,” the insider continued.

Kensington Palace has confirmed Meghan’s pregnancy, saying that she is due to give birth sometime in the spring.
