Jessica Padgett’s wedding to Kendall Murphy was set to take place on September 29, 2018. They had planned every last detail of the wedding and couldn’t wait to get married.

But on November 10, 2017, Jessica’s world came crashing down. Kendall, a 27-year-old volunteer firefighter, arrived at the scene of a car crash in Daviess County, Indiana.

While working at the scene, he was struck and killed by another driver who was allegedly driving drunk. Jessica was devastated. However, as time passed, she realized there was something she still wanted, and needed, to do.

Jessica and her mom, Katrina, reached out to Mandi Knepp, a professional photographer, with a special request. They wanted to do a photo shoot on the day that she and Kendall were supposed to get married.
