A circus trainer just shocked the internet by revealing the many amazing gifts that he has taught his elephant, Kimba.

Rene Casselly of Budapest, Hungary is a seventh generation show performer and animal trainer who says that he was able to train Kimba because of the “perfect trust” he has with the elephant. An astounding video shows Kimba helping Rene dunk a basketball, flip into the air, juggle, climb a wall and even letting the trainer stand on his tusks.

Rene, 22, said that Kimba is very well taken care of and that he is trained much in the same way that a dog is.

“These videos show the trust animals and humans can have for each other. We can do amazing and unique stuff together as a team,” Rene explained. “Kimba recently helped me to dunk a ball into a basket – it was a dangerous stunt which can only work with perfect teamwork, trust and respect for each other.”

“I’m always trying to do things with my elephants that have not been seen before, just recently I taught my elephant to throw a ball into a basket from behind the three-point line,” Rene added. “Elephants are so much smarter then we think. My feeling about this is pretty good.”

It’s always amazing to see the incredible bonds that two different species can create with each other! Rene and Kimba may be different species, but the intense connection they have is evident to all!
