Kaley West Young, from Salt Lake City, Utah, was close to her dad growing up. She had always dreamed of the day he would walk her down the aisle. So when he passed away suddenly in 2015, she was heartbroken.

In 2018, Kaley prepared to marry Andy Young. She was excited about the day, but heartbroken about her father not being able to be there for her special day. That’s when her five brothers hatched a plan.

Kevin, Dustin, Danny, Derek, and Kasey West had videotaped their family for years, so they got out their old tapes and collected several snippets of their late father’s voice.

Using the audio clips, they spliced their father’s words into the Michael Bolton song “Fathers and Daughters”. Then on Kaley’s wedding day, they gave her a surprise she will never forget.

Kaley instantly began crying as she heard the first lines of the song, but when she hears her father’s voice, she breaks down into tears. Her brothers were right there to support her.

Each of them, one by one, took turns stepping in for their dad on the dance floor. Each of them wiped their own tears away as they sway their weeping sister back and forth.

Kaley says she was in complete shock with the surprise her brothers had planned. Her brother Kevin says they came up with the idea months earlier knowing that their family was close and they had to acknowledge their father in some special way.
