We tend to take for granted the people in our lives until we lose them. That’s when we realize what a huge role they played in our lives. We also tend to under appreciate the nurses and other caregivers that take care of our loved ones.

With so many bad things happening in the world around us, it is heartwarming when we stumble across stories  of kindness. The stories like the one below restore our faith in humanity.

The story is about a nurse named Isabelle who did more than just care for a woman in the last days of her life. Jeremiah’s grandmother was staying at the hospital and her condition wasn’t going to improve.

Jeremiah spent most of his time by her side knowing that she was in her last moments. Isabelle took care of all his grandmother’s needs, but one thing she did that she didn’t have to do went above and beyond her regular duties.

Isabelle would sneak into Helen’s room, take her hands, and sing to her. Nobody that heard her could believe her angelic voice. They were all happy that she spent her spare time loving on this beautiful elderly woman.
