Andrew Morales is a U.S. Marine, and he had planned to take a commercial flight with is two dogs. Sadly, the airline decided his dogs couldn’t go because they were too big. That’s when Helen Rosburg stepped in to help.

Rosberg is the great-granddaughter of chewing gum industrialist, William Wrigley. When she heard that Andrew and his family would have to leave their beloved pets behind, she sent a private jet for them to use.

“He was going to lose his dogs,” said Helen. “He’s a hero on so many different levels. The Wrigleys are an extremely patriotic family and I am a true Wrigley child.”

Dusty and Wyatt, Andrew’s two dogs, have a very strong bond. He saved them from an overseas military tour a few years ago and the two Anatolian Shepards and Andrew have been best buddies since.

Andrew and his family were moving because he had been reassigned from South California to North Carolina. Because the airline wouldn’t let Andrew take his dogs on a commercial flight he didn’t know what else to do.

He called the rescue league that helped with their rescue from Afghanistan and thanks to the league, his problem spread quickly online. Helen spotted the dilemma on Facebook and immediately wanted to help.

Helen is the founder of the On The Wings of Angels Rescue Organization. Because her friends know what she does, they shared Andrew’s story with her and she came up with a quick solution.

Now Andrew and his family are grateful for what she did for them and want to thank her in person. Helen says she would like to meet them as well and that they’ve got to find a way to get together sometime.

How amazing is that? Be sure to share this heartwarming story with your family and friends. Every military family deserves this kind of support.
