Bystanders were walking around one day when they heard screaming coming from a plastic trash bag that had been dumped on the streets of India. It was only when they noticed movement and got closer to the bag that they realized that it was a very abused and fearful puppy.

The dog was both very sick and very scared, and the dog would start screaming whenever any person got close. There was a very painful looking sore on the dog’s hip, but whenever anyone would try and help him, he would bury his head deeper in the bag. Eventually, the passersby called Animal Aid to help him.

Animal Aid workers tried to calm the dog down, but he was so hungry that he could barely move. Noticing this, the team decided to try and earn the dog’s trust by giving him food.

The team worked slowly so as not to scare the dog. They also gave him loving pats to show him that they meant no harm, and eventually, they were able to gain his trust. After getting the dog to a care facility, workers were able to begin his rehab. They worked on his mange and dealt with the sore on his leg while also trying to help him gain weight.

The transformation that the dog went through under their care is truly incredible. Today, he looks nothing like the petrified dog who was found on the streets of India! Check out the video below to see what the dog looks like today!
