Very few musicians and bands can say they’ve survived for decades. But the rock band KISS has been making music for 45 years, and although the band members have changed, the fact that they’ve been performing live for nearly 50 years is an incredible feat.

Sadly, the fun is about to come to an end. The band known for their painted faces and elaborate outfits says they’re almost done rockin’ and rollin’ all night.

The band announced to fans recently that their next tour will be their last. “This will be the ultimate celebration for those who’ve seen us and a last chance for those who haven’t,” the band said on Instagram.

“KISS Army, we’re saying goodbye on our final tour with our biggest show yet and we’ll go out the same way we came in…Unapologetic and Unstoppable!”

KISS was formed in 1973 and their first Top 40 single “Rock and Roll All Nite” hit the charts in 1975. The band is currently comprised of Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Tommy Thayer, and Eric Singer. Stanley and Simmons are the only original members still in the band.

Dates for the appropriately titled “End of the Road” tour haven’t been announced, but you can sign up on the band’s website to receive the information once it becomes available.
