When 53 year-old Jacqueline Faye took the stage to audition for “The X Factor,” nobody was expecting her to have a voice like this!

Jacqueline is a farmer from Oxfordshire, England, and she spends most of her days working with a wide range of livestock alongside her husband. She managed to get up the nerve to head to the big city for this audition, and she decided to perform Cilla Black’s hit song “You’re My World.”

Her audition has quickly gone viral, as it serves as a reminder to never judge a book by it’s cover!

After she took the stage, Jacqueline shyly introduced herself and talked about life on the farm with her husband, chickens, ducks, horses, and even their peacocks, Dave and Chaz, to whom she dedicated her performance. The judges could not help but laugh at Jacqueline, already guessing that her performance would be bad.

Judge Robbie Williams was the only one who seemed genuinely interested in what she was saying, and Jacqueline confessed that he was her favorite judge.

“He’s not just an entertainer, he’s an icon. He’s the kind of guy I’d like in my family,” she said.

When it came time for Jacqueline to sing, it didn’t take long for the judges to stop laughing. As she continued to belt out the song, it became clear that they had a real talent onstage!

After her performance, the judges admitted that they had misjudged her. Even the notoriously difficult to please Simon Cowell stated that he was wrong!

“As you walked out I’m kind of thinking to myself [that] maybe you’ve walked on to the wrong show by mistake,” he said. “And I’m thinking this isn’t going to be great… and then you were.”

Judge Louis Tomlinson agreed with him.

“For me, stories like this – this is exactly what this show should be all about – someone your age standing up there and having a real moment like that,” he said.

Jacqueline’s audition reminds us all to never judge people by their appearance, and that it’s never too late to follow your dreams! Check out her amazing performance below!
