As parents, we want our children to look up to us and admire us. There’s not much else in the world that can top when a little one looks up at you in admiration. So when Amanda Taylor found out her husband, Sgt. Brenden Taylor, was returning from deployment, she gave him one of those moments.

Amanda and Brenden have two daughters, a 2.5 year old and a 1 year old. Their first daughter was born when he was deployed and the second was barely nine months old when he had to leave again.

When Brenden left in February, Amanda admits that she was worried about raising two daughters on her own. It only took their oldest daughter two hours after his departure to start asking where her daddy was.

Instead of focusing on how long their dad had been gone, Amanda made it a game of counting down the days before he would be home. As his approach became closer, Amanda knew she wanted to make Brenden’s homecoming memorable.

She hired a professional photographer and when the big day came, their two year old daughter began yelling “Daddy” in excitement. Once he was off the bus, the toddler let go of her mom’s hand and went running into her daddy’s arms.

The photographer caught it all on film and Amanda says she doesn’t think she’s ever seen a smile on her husband’s face like he had that day when he finally had his little girl in his arms again.

You won’t want to miss the video below of the reunion, but you’ll definitely want to grab a box of tissue first. Be sure to share this heartwarming video with your family and friends. They’re sure to love it as much as you do.
