Zlatan Ibrahimovic is known for being one of the toughest and most talented players on the Los Angeles Galaxy team. Though he is typically fierce and intimidating on the field, even he could not help but smile when he heard 7 year-old Malea Emma’s rendition of “The Star Spangled Banner” before his latest game.

Malea took the field to sing before the LA Galaxy’s game against the Seattle Sounders, and Zlatan could be seen smiling ear to ear as she sang.

Despite the fact that she was singing in front of a packed stadium of 25,000 people, Malea handled the situation like a pro. She wasn’t even put off by the massive fireworks display that went off during the opening ceremony!

“I was thinking that I cannot do anything wrong because it’s a really special song to America,” Malea said afterwards.

Zlatan took to Twitter after the game to call Malea the “MVP of the game!”

The Galaxy held a contest on social media to find someone to sing the anthem, and Malea was over the moon when her father told her that she won.

In this day and age, it’s refreshing to see a little girl who has so much respect and love for our country’s national anthem! God bless you, Malea Emma!
